Woke up to find the grass and John’s car thickly covered with hail – it almost looked like snow. Had heaters going all morning until we set out to window shop at Wonthaggi. We were told by one of the shopkeepers that it was snowing in Leongatha and Korumburra which was not hard to believe as it was bitterly cold.Driving back to Inverloch we could see for ourselves light snow on the hills. Bitterly cold, we crowded round the room heater and read. John walked down to the little creek at the end of our street and reported that it was running a bunker. Going down to the pub for tea, hoping that they have a good fire going. Very nice dinner, but we lost on the Pokies. Note from Jean to Marty. Sorry for leading your mother astray – I think she may be addicted now! The improvements to the house are really great. I love the big windows and the decking. We’ve had a lovely stay. It has brought back happy memories when my parents were here some years back.
