Walked to shops in the morning to get provisions. After lunch, we drove up to Eagles Nest, then around to the caravan park to the start of the Screw Creek walk. A new track opens up to greatviews of Townsend Bluff. Great walk.Played crib, Most games won by John much to Jean’s disgust.Very cold tonight. Thank heaven for electric blankets.
John and Jean Lyne and Grandma Davies arrived late tonight on our wayhome after a fortnight’s holiday at Bateman’s Bay and Canberra
Another freezing night convinced me to spend the day here and go home to sleep in my own bed at Chelsea tonight.
Freezing cold during the night- 6deg – even with electric blanket on to warm the bed, found sleep hard to achieve. When the sun warmed things up, I drove to Wonthaggi to check out ALDI.s. In the afternoon I walked to Screw Creek.
Very cold morning, then lovely weather enticed me (Grandma) to drive down and check out the house. Arrived about 2pm. Took a walk to the shops.
Arrivied late in the afternoon (3pm). Just enough time to mow lawn. Invited to Helen’s home for dinner, and to meet two other residents. Nice night. On Sunday we pruned the rear garden. On Monday we drove to Wonthaggi to have breakfast while car was being serviced. “Big W” almost ready to open. Wonthaggi is becoming a Metropolis.

Bonjour de Claire et Peter! Arrived Tuesday mid-afternoon and tried the beach, but it started raining.
Marty, Alice, Jack, Grandma and a friend of Alice’s, Bill came about lunchtime on a beautiful day. Marty immediately started mowing the grass. I took Jack for his usual adventure down to the creek, to drop sticks from the bridge and watch them emerge on the other side, then spent some time at the swings and slides at the top of our street. Impossible to get Peter out of bed at 11am. Went for a bike ride to the pier and back. Managed to stir Peter into action. Took the bikes, rode to the pier, lunch in town, rockpooling, readingon the beach. Relaxing! Left the house about 5pm. Merci pour la maison. A bientot. Claire.

Marty, Alice and Jack in residence from Sunday until Tuesday. Marty cleaned, sanded and painted the two old dressers in preparation for installation on deck.
The McCourts have arrived and the kids have the toys out already. House looks great. Love the new kitchen configuration. Ryan is walking around with his trolly – he will be one in two days time. The girls are excited that the Easter Bunny has left them lots of chocolate eggs.

Alice, Marty, Jack and Grandma here to mow lawn and relax for a couple of days. Lovely weather. Took Jack to Wonthaggi to have a haircut. New Aldi store still being built. BiLO has been going since before Xmas, also Kentucky Fried Chicken.
